Sending Letters via Email
Send letters to Barid by emailing PDF attachments to our inbound addresses. If you're onboarded with Barid, your sender email is already registered and ready to use.
Quick Start
Send an email with these requirements:
- FROM - Your registered sender email address
- TO - Barid inbound address (see below)
- SUBJECT - Becomes the letter title
- BODY - Becomes the letter description
- ATTACHMENT - Exactly one PDF file (max 5MB)

Replace 784199012345678 with the user's Emirates ID. User must be subscribed to your organization.

PDF Requirements
Format & Size:
- Valid PDF (version 1.4 or higher)
- Maximum: 10 MB
- Recommended: Under 5 MB
Content:
- No password protection
- No encryption
- Embedded fonts for proper rendering
Common Errors
Sender Not Registered:
Error: Sender email not registered
→ Your email address must be registered during onboarding. Contact support@barid.ae
Invalid Recipient:
Error: User with Emirates ID {id} not found
Error: Invalid targeting format
→ Verify Emirates ID exists and user is subscribed to your organization
Attachment Issues:
Error: Message must contain exactly one PDF attachment
Error: PDF file exceeds maximum size (10MB)
→ Include exactly one PDF file under 10MB
Missing Content:
Error: Message must contain a subject
Error: Message must contain a body
→ Both subject and body are required
Authentication Failed:
Error: Message failed authentication
→ Contact support@barid.ae (authentication is handled automatically by Barid)
Contact support@barid.ae to register additional addresses.
